Small Employer - UnitedHealthcare

UnitedHealthcare helps address the diverse health care needs of the hospitality industry. We understand that your employees are your greatest investment. And health insurance is a critical factor in retaining and recruiting employees, as well as maintaining productivity and satisfaction.

Offering the "right" health insurance plan is one of the most important decisions you can make as a small business owner. But making sense of the complex health care system has become increasingly difficult for employers, especially small businesses.

UnitedHealthcare can help. Our plans help you save money on health care costs and are efficient to manage. We also provide access to a suite of specialty benefits products, including dental, vision, life, disability, accident and critical illness. National Restaurant Association members may save up to 5 percent on rates for these specialty benefits.* This potential savings is in addition to all other discounts, including those offered through UnitedHealthcare’s bundling benefits programs.

Restaurant & Hospitality Association Benefit Trust – Option for Small Employers (Not Available in All States)**

The Restaurant & Hospitality Association Benefit Trust is now available to quote as an option for National Restaurant Association hospitality member groups. The RHA Benefit Trust is not available in all states. The RHA Benefit Trust is a health benefits solution insured and serviced by UnitedHealthcare and focused on small employers with 6-50 eligible employees. This solution can offer National Restaurant Association members some of the same advantages of large employers regarding more health plan designs for product and potential pricing flexibility.

Open Access Plans

UnitedHealthcare offers open access plan designs with fixed dollar copayments, coinsurance options and lower out-of-pocket costs for network care. There are also plan designs that provide a level of benefits for seeking care outside the network normally at a higher coinsurance, and/or deductible level.

PPO Plans

UnitedHealthcare offers PPO plan designs with the freedom to choose any doctor. No referrals are needed and cost savings happen by going to a network physician. It is the individual’s responsibility to obtain approvals for both network and non-network services. If a non-network physician is chosen, out-of-pocket costs will be higher and it is the individual’s responsibility to submit claims.

Health Savings Account (HSA) Plans

A high-deductible health plan with an HSA is another option from UnitedHealthcare. These plans cost less than more "traditional" copayment plans. The individual owns the Health Savings Account and any contributions made to it, regardless of the source or timing of the contribution. HSA savings build year after year—no "use it or lose it." The HSA is portable and goes with individuals wherever they go.

These policies have exclusions, limitations and terms under which the policy may be continued in force or discontinued. For costs and complete details of the coverage, contact your broker or UnitedHealthcare sales representative.
*For fully insured groups, a 5% discount on all specialty benefits rates may apply. Some restrictions and exclusions apply. Discounts are available only to members of the National Restaurant Association and its state restaurant association partners; and may vary by location and group size.
**Some restrictions and exclusions apply. The Restaurant & Hospitality Association Benefit Trust is not available in all states. The UnitedHealthcare plan with Health Savings Account (HSA) is a high deductible health plan (HDHP) that is designed to comply with IRS requirements so eligible enrollees may open a Health Savings Account (HSA) with a bank of their choice or through Optum Bank®, Member FDIC. The HSA refers only and specifically to the Health Savings Account that is provided in conjunction with a particular bank, such as Optum Bank®, and not to the associated HDHP.
